We are passionate about taking care of your Toddlers

With your child’s growing independence their reliance on adults is eased slightly and we ensure that each team member has no more than four children to support at any one time. By doing so we see children at this age and stage thrive.

Toddlers continue to develop with a focus on the three prime areas and are more fully introduced to four more specific areas that support their growing enthusiasm for exploring their world. These are:

• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the world
• Expressive art and design.

As our Toddlers go about their play our educators sprinkle texts, books, sounds and numbers around them, promoting your child’s curiosity.

There will always be space and opportunity for them to create their own work and art, being encouraged to have a go themselves inspired by the world around them.

Your child will begin to learn about selfcare and independence. Our dedicated staff encourage children to wash hands, toilet train and self-serve their own meals. We are never far away to help them and the children learn new skills in a fun, loving way.

Toddlers Environment

The Toddler room also benefits from a number of dedicated areas. There is a creative area, we have quiet areas in all rooms for children to take themselves off to have a look at books or have a rest if they want to and a home corner for lots of role play. As this is the time when the majority of children start ‘toilet training’, the toddlers room is equipped with brightly decorated children’s toilets, encouraging independence. The unique discovery garden is fully equipped with an impact absorbing surface and lots of outside equipment designed to encourage coordination and balance.
